Work Related Physical Examinations OMC physical examinations are designed to meet all regulatory and employment guidelines. Our staff quickly communicates results of all work related physical examinations to the employer. OMC offers a number of work related physical examinations including Department of Transportation (DOT) examinations, post-offer examinations, return-to-work examinations, and respirator clearance examinations. OMC will work with you to create a customized physical examination that meets your company's specific needs. Substance Abuse Testing Drug and alcohol abuse can seriously compromise the safety and productivity of your employees as well as the safety of your customers. OMC offers substance abuse testing services designed to control drug and alcohol abuse in the work place. These services include SAMSHA (DOT) regulated drug and alcohol testing, instant drug testing, conventional drug and alcohol testing, and Medical Review Officer services. Work Injury Management Because our physicians are trained in occupational medicine and experienced in Workers' Compensation claims, OMC can treat injuries quickly, minimize lost time, and return employees to work as soon as possible. OMC injury management protocols are specifically designed to expedite the injured employee's return to full duty and keep the employer informed throughout the process. Work Site Safety and Ergonomics Safety education and work place modifications can significantly reduce accidents and injuries, lower costs, decrease absenteeism, and improve employee morale. OMC offers ergonomic training and job site analysis to help prevent injuries from repetitive motion, improper lifting techniques, or poor workstation set-up. CPR & First Aid Certification Training OMC's Mobile Unit can come to your location to train your staff in CPR. Additionally, OMC offers First Aid Certification Training. Immunization Programs In conjunction with injury management and treatment, OMC strives to prevent injury and illness. OMC offers employee immunization programs to meet your organization's needs for influenza, tetanus, hepatitis, and other specialized vaccines. "Healthy worker" vaccinations are available at our office or on-site at your facility. Rehabilitation Services OMC, through our sister company Lehigh Valley Physical Therapy, Inc., provides rehabilitation services for employees with appropriate injuries. Our clinical staff works closely with the rehabilitation team to design an aggressive treatment program proven to return employees safely and quickly to work. OMC can assist you in developing a light duty program to keep employees on the job during their treatment. Rehabilitation services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and behavioral health counseling. Functional Testing According to the US Department of Labor, American businesses spend as much as $50 billion annually in connection with muscular skeletal injuries. OMC uses the FOCUS Work Simulator to provide a comprehensive and objective assessment of an employee's physical ability compared to the physical demands of the job. Post-injury, the Work Simulator can be used to determine the extent of an injury and provide objective data necessary for designing and effective treatment plan and work place modifications. Work Site Wellness OMC offers training to identify risk factors and improve employee wellness. Additionally, we provide on-site CPR and first-aid training. OMC can organize or participate in your company health fair with services including total cholesterol tests, glucose tests, blood pressure tests, body composition evaluations, and immunizations. |
